Welcome to the "Why are Innocent People Always the Victims" Room, where everyone is welcome. We encourage both free speech and respect for one another.  We hope that your experience with us will be one of enlightenment and gratification and one without judgement or regrets.

ADMINISTRATION RULES


1.  A mic limit will be enforced in an effort for chatters to speak for a reasonable amount of time.  Time limit will fluctuate according to the amount of people in line with their hands up.  Inane banter will not be tolerated.


2.  There will be no time limits but please be respectful of others and do not hog the mic.  However, should there be a long line of people with their hands up a 4 minute time limit will be imposed.  Same Rule applies to Administration Staff.


3.  Please do not abuse your power of Authority!  Do not come into the room and DEMAND that people get off the mic just because YOU have just come into the room and want the mic. Respect goes both ways.  This applies to Room Owners as well.  If you have something important to say, wait your turn as everyone else has had to wait their turn and allow the person before you the courtesy of completing whatever it is they are doing or saying.


4.  Before dotting or bouncing anyone, make sure that the chatter has committed a violation or abused chatters in the room.  First issue them with a verbal / written warning in text.  If they continue, issue another warning and then dot them / bounce them whichever is applicable.  Use your discretion and do not just bounce people.


5.  If any Chatter takes it upon himself / herself to act as an Admin, give them a warning.  If they continue to make a nuisance of themselves, use your discretion.  You may dot them or bounce them, according to the severity of the violation.


6.  If a Chatter is bounced, it stays in force for the next 24 hours.  Should they come back into the room and violate the rules or behave like imbeciles, advise the Top Administrator/s or one of the Owners, if they aren't available and the violator will be banned.

6(a) Only the Administrator that has bounced a Chatter, can remove that chatter from the Administration Console.  If unsure of what to do, kindly liaise with the Top Admin or if they aren't available, one of the owners. This is subject to change if an Owner feels the person has been dotted unjustly.


7.  If the room is quiet and there isn't any chatting going on, a Chatter may request to play music.  However, should there be people in line, advise whomever is playing music to allow the other chatters to take the mic.

7(a) Should a Chatter walk into a room and jump the mic or play music, dot them.  If they continue, bounce them after telling them why you are doing so.


8. Please do not abuse your Authority by dotting / bouncing a chatter whom you are or have been at loggerheads with.

8(a) Our main objective is to invite people to the room and to encourage them to take the mic and start a discussion.  Be respect of everyone.  We are all here to enjoy ourselves.


9. Under no circumstances should a Chatter be dotted off the mic in order for an Admin to speak.  See Rule No. 3 Above.  However, should an Admin wish to impart something of value e.g. advising Chatters of Protocol, etc., do so after the chatter has spoken.  Unless of course the Chatter on the mic is breaking Room Rules / abusing other chatters.  He / She may be dotted.  In this instance, use your discretion.


10. If an Admin abuses their authority they may be dotted by a Super Admin.  If a Super Admin is abusing their authority another Super Admin may dot them.  Regular Admins are not allowed to dot Super Admins. However, Super admins should not abuse their power either.  Should there be an incident taking place, kindly IM or whisper to the other Super Admin.  If they disregard this and continue.  Dot them and report it to the Top Admin and if he is not available, to the Owner/s of the room.

Should anyone come into the room with racial slurs, warn them that this is not allowed and will not be tolerated.  If they continue, bounce them.


11. No one is allowed to threaten anyone in the room.  This pertains to death threats,  threats of rape, or child molestation will NOT be tolerated in this room.

11(a) Chatters at the mic are not to go on wild rampages and disrespect the people in the room.


12. When a new Chatter takes the mic,  allow them 10 to 15 seconds before asking the next person to take the mic.  Sometimes people have computer issues or perhaps they have slower processors.  Should they respond after the chatter behind them has taken the mic, allow them to courtesy of speaking after that chatter.  This courtesy is only extended if the chatter has been in line.  No mic jumping is allowed!


13. Chatters may have computer issues that cause them to be booted from the room, such as a Paltalk or computer crash.  In this event, they will be booted from the room.  In the event of this happening, they are allowed to raise their hand and go after the person who was before them.


14. If a Chatter takes the mic and changes the topic, they are allowed to do so, on proviso that they are not trying to disrupt the room and it is a topic that every one can partake in. However, if they have taken the mic to disrupt the room i.e. bringing in drama or nonsense - allow them only two minutes on the mic, depending on the topic, before dotting them.

 * Admins reserve the right of cutting off a chatter in less than 2 minutes for drama and disruption of the room.

* Admin Staff: Please use your discretion wisely in determining this.


15. Chatters that take the mic with an agenda to be EXTREMELY foolish, and with the intention of disrupting the flow of the room (mumbling, terrible singing, eating on the mic, taking calls on the mic, etc.) should be dotted off the mic immediately.


16. Absolutely NO speaking ill of / making fun of the children (minors under 18) of any chatter in this room.  This applies to any deceased or sick persons as well.


17. If Admins are going to be AFK (Away from Keyboard) for a lengthy period of time, PLEASE DOT YOURSELVES! So that we know which Admins are available. If any admin (Regular or Super) notice that other Admin have been AFC for a significant amount of time then please try to reach them through Admin whisper. If they do not respond then dot them. Both Regular and Super Admins are permitted to so.


18. Whilst being active in the room, all Administration staff to have their PMs open and to be accessible to Chatters. This is so that any Chatters or questions can contact you.


19. Any Chatter entering our room should not be Bounced or Dotted by any Administration Staff for any action / violation which may have occurred in another chat room prior to entering ours.
